Part-Shade Planter Full of Colour and Texture

Westerose Nursery & Greenhouse

Plants and planting tips to help you create this container garden:

  • Baby Tut Grass
  • Torenia Gilded Grape
  • Oxalis Charmed Wine

A great low-maintenance combination for a part-shade location.  Baby Tut, or its taller version, King Tut, are gorgeous foliage plants with umbrella like foliage.  Make sure it doesn’t dry out.    The purple leafed foliage plant, Oxalis, can also be grown indoors, so transplant it into a smaller pot and bring it inside in the fall.  It is a relative of a green-leafed version also known as Shamrock plant.  Water when top inch of soil is dry and fertilize.
